General Questions
Why do I need to provide information about my health condition?
We ask you to provide information about your health condition for the optimal
interpretation of the CTG test result, and identifying possible risks.
What if I don't have a doctor or midwife code?
Please ask your doctor for his code during your next visit. You can still order and use the
service in the absence of a code. The results will not be made available to an additional
person. They are authorized by CMP healthcare workers.
How do I return the device?
Before the end of the subscription period, we will contact the patient and arrange parcel
pickup.
The market is already offering so-called home CTGs or devices connected to the monitoring system to which test results are sent. Why is Carebits the one and only?
Only the Carebits system ensures the clinical quality of examination, i.e., the same that you
receive in a hospital or clinic. It is the only device in the world that is fully telemedical, which
means that the patient can perform the tests alone. It does not require any training or
assistance from medical staff.
Who evaluates my tests, does the doctor see them later?
Tests and records are interpreted and evaluated by qualified medical personnel, i.e., our
midwives, who continuously monitor the wellbeing of you and your child during the
examination. They take full legal responsibility for the authorized results. It is also possible
for your obstetrician to have access to your tests – just provide his identification code in the
order. If you want to obtain such a code, ask your attending physician or midwife for it.
Can I lend the device to my friend?
Under no circumstances should you share your device with another person. Medical data
collected during the interview in the patient's profile is key in the evaluation. Due to data
protection, we cannot disclose such information to third parties - the safety of our patients
and cooperating medical partners is our priority.
What is the possible period of rental? Can I buy the device?
You can order our service for the subscription period. We have an attractive price list and
subscription offer (2, 4, 8 weeks) for the epidemic period in the country. After expiration,
you return the device to us, or you can extend the subscription by 1 week. As our Patient,
you receive both a CTG test device and FMC remote care.
Technical Questions
Will I be able to tell if I am already in labor from the contractions that occur during the recording? What is the amplitude of labor contractions?
CTG recording is primarily intended to monitor the well-being of the fetus, and this should
be your main focus. Recorded uterine contractions are only information for us, the
midwives, for accurate interpretation of your CTG recording. Labor contractions have a
varying amplitude, individual for each child. Their occurrence and strength should not be
assessed only with CTG
How much gel should I put on the FHR probe?
Apply a thin layer of gel (a large drop) to the FHR probe, and distribute the gel in a circular
motion. Attach the probe to the abdominal wall to ensure a stable signal of your baby’s
heartbeat.
